I learned to passage and a little piaffe today. Every dressage riders dream. I got to ride my friends horse Severn, and it’s amazing to feel the horse kick into another gear and lift you into passage. Magic.

I’ve been working like crazy but I’ve finally paid off my visa and saved some money. Trying to decided if I should spend $500 on Dressage Camp this year.. I’m not familiar with the clinicians and it’s more expensive than last year.. but camp is always fun. Like being a kid again but with dressage and drinking in the barn afterwards involved.
Today my two students and close friends (Niki and Shayla) had a show!!!! It was just a schooling show at PREP but it was nice to see them both ride so well and their ponies are impeccably turned out. Unfortunately I have to work this evening and the show is so behind schedule that I couldn’t warm them up for their last classes. The heat is also killing them today. Poor girls. Oh well I know they’ll do well without me anyways. Just schooling! I’ll post some pictures tomorrow or monday :)
Lack of Updates..
I’m sorry for being a bad blogger. Life is so hectic right now I barely have time to spend with the horses, let alone blog! I’ll just let you know how my ridings been going.
About a week ago my close friend ( and talented FEI rider) let me ride her lovely 4th level/PSG horse Luti. The feeling this horse gave me when she moved was incredible. The amount of carrying power combined with the suppleness was amazing. Really reminded me how much work I still have to do with Dom Ferro. I rode him later that day, and I really challenged his suppleness. He’s very obedient when things are done his way per say… but when I really get into him and ask him to be truly supple through the transitions, I can feel it’s a challenge for him..
If we want a 70% at 2nd level this year we gotta really step up our game.
